Use remote access over mower.online. This is https. And you can block port 80 (http) from outside to the internal ip of robonect, if you want, too (but it’s not necessary, if it’s not supposed to the internet in your router)

If the mower does not support SSL/TLS (no https), and the service x.mower.online supports https - how is data transferred from the mower to the online service? Encrypted or not? Port 80? Including password?

What do you mean with „the mower“? I think, you mean Robonect at least.
The data sent between Robonect and mower.online is encrypted, so it doesn’t need continuous https-queueing. There is a forwarding from http to https also for mower.online.
