Hey all
I want to update my 315 Automower at a repair Shop / dealer. Is it possible with Robonect already installed? Or do I need to uninstall the Robonect module before sending the Automower to the dealer?
It's okay to reply in German. I just use Google Chrome to translate then
Best wishes
Alex

Update Automower firmware (at dealer shop)
Hello and welcome!
No, it’s not recommended to send the mower to your dealer without removing Robonect. You’ll loose warranty and if something goes wrong, the dealer will always say, Robonect was the reason for any kind of problem.
And: if your Automower works perfekt with Robonect, there will not be any benefit in updating the mower‘s firmware.
Actually there is also no need to update the mower’s firmware for making Robonect working better or fixing bugs in Robonect’s firmware in this way.
Do you have any problems with Robonect which you hope to get fixed by updating the mower‘s firmware?
So maybe it’ll be better to do nothing. Never touch a working system!

Re: Update Automower firmware (at dealer shop)
Hey
My 315 have not been updated since 2018/2019. I have observed that my mower have trouble following the guide and boundary wires. No matter the settings of corridor widths, my mower seems to have it's own agenda. I have tried to set the corridor width to be max 1 but sometimes it nevertheless runs with large distance to the wire (e.g. the guide) making considerably left/right turns as if the corridor width was set to 9. Other times it runs correctly directly on wire, as it is supposed to do. My issue is, if the corridor width is too large, my mower will easily loose its track and then "get lost".
It has always been like that, but now I'm getting reel tired of this malfunction, so I would like to getting it updated hoping this will sort OUT a few things. Since the error has always been there I don't think it is due to some kind of error the wire sensor circuit board.
So.... when a dealer connect the mower to a computer (Auto Check 3) I guess the dealer doesn't need to open up the entire mower, right? So he won't actually see the red Robonect module?
But will Auto Check 3 still be able to do its update process even though Robonect is still connected to the motherboard?
